Treasured Friendships

How lovely to have a Friend or Friends you Treasure. I’ve had a few through the years. Enjoy the wonderful Poems penned here. One of them is by Alora M. Knight who is glory with Jesus now. She is still well-loved like Helen Steiner Rice. It’s true, it’s so true, that Friends can be a Treasure!

My Treasured Friendship

In trust and harmony
our friendship, you and me
Treasured times together
a fond-ship that lasts forever
Looking forward to those special times
we’d meet somewhere nice
when the weather is fine
We’d share our secrets, yours and mine
Yes, pleasant and happy times.

My Treasured Friend

Treasured friend, I’m glad I found you;
Our friendship is a gift we share.
I can be myself around you,
Safe in your love and care.

I miss you when you’re out of sight;
Our friendship bond was meant to be.
I think of you with great delight;
You’re almost part of me.

Through fun and fears, play and tears,
We help each other heal and grow.
I prize our time–the days, the years,
More than you can know.

Just harmony for me and you,
The two of us–a perfect blend.
I’ll cherish you my whole life through,
My dear and treasured friend.

To My Treasured Friend

Though there is gold up in the mountains,
Lovely pearls deep in the sea,
Those treasures do not mean as much
As your friendship means to me.
While diamonds may be beautiful,
And worth a lot of money,
They cannot give a warm embrace
Or share jokes we think are funny.
I know it’s true some people
Will collect much priceless art,
Yet I have never seen a picture
That showed me a loving heart.
So I don’t need to spend a fortune
To have what means the most to me.
Knowing that I have had your friendship
Will be a treasured memory.

True Friend

A friend is like a star that twinkles and glows
Or maybe like the ocean that gently flows.

A friend is like gold that you should treasure
And take care of forever and ever.

A friend is like an angel that is there to guide you.
A friend is someone you can trust out of a few.

A friend is more than one in a million.
They are one in a ca-zillion,

And you, my friend, are very special
and so this is official.
